IF YOU MIGHT NOT BE FAMILIAR WITH THIS SPORTY BRITISH CAR, IT WAS HANDMADE IN BLACKPOOL ENGLAND. AND THE TASMIN WAS FIRST MADE AVAILABLE IN AMERICA IN LATE 1982 WHICH ENDED ITS THREE YEAR ABSENCE FROM THE USA. PRODUCTION OF THE 280i ESSENTIALLY ENDED IN 1987, THE SAME YEAR THAT TVR LEFT THE U.S. MARKET FOR GOOD. TOTAL PRODUCTION OF THE V-6 WEDGES REACHED JUST 1,167 CARS, 862 OF WHICH WERE CONVERTIBLES. AND IT IS ESTIMATED THAT 400 TO 500 CARS REACHED THE STATES.
